more friendlier than the midwest. People in the midwest where I have lived my whole life are not nice people. They don't give a dam about others and they don't chat with you. They don't help strangers. But why down south why is it the opposite? People help strangers, people smile, people want to know how your day is going, people go out of their way to assist you, etc. I went to Louisville, Kentucky this summer and everyone there was very polite and friendly. People don't even hold the door open for you in St. Louis. I walk into gas stations all the time and say thank you sir for holding the door and he doesn't say you're welcome. In the south they all say I am welcome. And they smile. But here it just sucks. This isn't home for me. I belong down south it just sucks because I don't want to leave my family, but at the same time I am not happy here.... Read More »
